Requirements
We welcome volunteers from all backgrounds. Here's what you need to get started:

Age 16 or older
Junior members (16-17) participate in training with parental consent

Live or work nearby
Proximity helps ensure timely emergency response

Pass background check
Required for all emergency services personnel

Commitment to training
Attend weekly training drills and complete required certifications
Training Provided
No experience necessary — we provide educational materials and training programs to all members. Training is regularly reviewed and updated to address emerging challenges.
Firefighter I & II Certification
New York State certified firefighting courses
Emergency Medical Training
CPR certification and annual recertification training
Hazardous Materials Awareness
Recognition and response to hazmat incidents
Ongoing Professional Development
Weekly drills and annual recertification training
